Speaking at a local ceremony in Baborsar County, he pointed to the history of extensive military and scientific sanctions against Iran, saying that while enemies of the country once prevented Iran from importing barred wire into the country, these countries are now concerned about Iran’s advanced hypersonic missile capabilities.
He said that Iran’s missiles are not only the product of indigenous technology, but also a symbol of the country’s independence and authority, adding that this deterrence does not depend on any foreign power, but is based on the knowledge and technical know-how of skilled Iranian youth.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mr. Jalili referred to the hostile measures taken by the country’s enemies against the country in order to prevent the country’s growth and development, noting that when the country’s enemies failed to stop the country’s progress, they resorted to the assassination of scientists and scientific elites.
The leader’s representative pointed out that ever since the Eight Years of Sacred Defense (1980-1988, when Iraq imposed war against Iran), the participation and contribution of the people has been the main factor for the country’s success, calling on government officials to strengthen and maintain this social asset in various fields.
He added that Iran’s progress, especially in the defense and strategic fields, stems from national confidence, popular participation and resistance, and this path must continue with full force.
