The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) Meeting will be held in Moscow on Tuesday, November 18, in the presence of Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ahead of the 24th South African Summit, a meeting of the national coordinators of the member states of the Association of Southern African Nations began on Friday in Moscow for consultations on the organization’s documents and proposals, according to Mehr news agency and an announcement by the Iranian embassy in Russia.
The meeting of the National Coordinators of the SCO Member States will conclude on Sunday, with the participation of Mehrdad Qiai, Director-General for SCO and BRICS Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian National Coordinator of the SCO.
The meeting will focus on the upcoming South African Prime Ministers’ Summit and related issues, including the draft Joint Final Declaration, the implementation of the Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation Program for the period 2026-2030, and the Summit resolution on the Organization’s 2026 budget.
Other important topics include a roadmap for cooperation between member states in the field of social development and social protection from 2026 to 2028, cooperation between railway organizations in member states, coordination of measures to improve financial infrastructure, development of e-commerce, promotion of mutual investment, and cooperation in the fight against the epidemic.
