TEHRAN – Congress President Mohammad Bakar Kalibahu announced in the closed parliament on Tuesday that important decisions have been made on economic and livelihood issues, including currency and stock markets.
At the start of today’s open session of Iranian practitioners, Kalibahu detailed the discussion mentioned above in a closed session focusing on fluctuations in the currency market. “Since 8am, Congress has been convened with the president, minister, economic agent and his advisors,” he said.
He emphasized that economic issues have been thoroughly analyzed and important decisions have been reached, especially in areas that affect people’s livelihoods and financial markets. “We hope that today’s decision will help alleviate economic challenges in various fields,” Kalibaf added.
Congress member Nadeli provided further insight into the session, noting that it was held at the request of the government and the president. “The meeting was attended by the president, the Minister of Economic Affairs and the governor of the central bank to assess the recent price increases and discuss economic and livelihood concerns,” he said.
Nadeli also noted that it had been previously agreed that the President would attend Congress every two to three months for consultation. “The next meeting is expected in two or three months,” he added.
