Iran’s first AI park, founded in two years
The country’s first artificial intelligence (AI) park is expected to be established in Tehran by the next two years, officials from the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy have said.
The main purpose of this plan is to showcase the country’s technological development and provide practical AI-related services to people, Mehr’s news agency quotes Mojtaba Alizadeh as saying.
The services cover a wide range of areas, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and demonstrations of Iran’s national AI platform, he added.
Officials went on to say that some of the AI processing infrastructure will be located in the National AI Parks. Not only researchers who need infrastructure to carry out their research can benefit from AI Park services.
Currently, government agencies, large corporations and businesses are working together to develop the park, Alizadeh added.
