During an event held in response to the recent airstrikes on Israel’s Iranian soil, participants from Zoroastrians, Christian Armenia, Assyria and other religious communities condemned acts of aggression against the Iranian state, calling for international accountability.
He strongly criticized the international organisations for Israeli atrocities, Sharli Envieh, the Assyrian representative of the parliament, for the silence that was faced with people who had an impact on civilians.
“If these bodies truly believe in the principles encompassed by the UN Charter, the rule of law and collective security, they must act immediately,” Envier said. “Iran’s response to these attacks remains, within the scope of international law, a legitimate Self-Defense Force.”
He added that the Iranian people, including their religious minorities, remain united under the leadership of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and they are committed to maintaining the unity of the people.
On behalf of Archbishop Sepoo Sarsian, Arakel Kadekian firmly condemned the “Israel atrocities” regarding Iranian civilians.
“Iran is not just our home, it is our sacred home,” he said. “We condemn the attack on Iranian soil and declare our full support for Iranian people and leadership.”
Quoting from the Archbishop’s recent message during a gathering at St. Sansarkis Cathedral in Tehran, he added:
The Zoroastrian charm expressed sadness towards the victims and confirmed that special prayers were held in churches in Tehran, Urmia and other cities.
“We firmly believe that our beloved country, Iran, will win this unfair attack. We will continue to pray for our leaders and the army, as taught in our Holy Bible,” he said.
Other religious people at the event highlighted their shared identity as Iranians and their unwavering dedication to Iranian sovereignty.
The assembly was closed with a unified call of national unity and international condemnation, what is known as a “clear violation of human rights and international norms.”
