Speaking at the E-Meeting to receive a copy of the newly appointed ambassador’s qualifications to Iran Pierre Kochaard, Pezeschkian hoped he had succeeded in strengthening the cooperation between Tehran and Paris based on mutual respect.
He said that Iran’s Islamic Republic, particularly in his administration, is seeking internal consensus and involvement with the world, but that the West is disrupting this path by spreading false propaganda and accusing Iran of trying to build nuclear weapons.
Iran demanded that right within the international regulatory framework and said it complied with the requirements of the framework, saying, “Iran is ready to engage in this sector as it has accepted the strictest surveillance system of nuclear activity in the past, but this does not mean a waiver of the inviolable rights of the Iranian people.”
Iran is ready for dialogue on the nuclear program and does not seek war, but its response to new aggression will also be strong, the president emphasized.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the unprecedented brutal crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza, and assaulted the silence of European countries and France on the issue.
According to Pezeschkian, “The excuse or reason for justifying deaths of children, women, and even hunger as a result of the nation’s crime siege are the newborn children of terrorists killed by hunger caused by bombing or the siege of Gaza?”
“It is hoped that countries like France will play a more effective role in preventing the continued crimes of the Zionist regime,” he emphasized.
The newly appointed envoy of France expressed his deep sadness on his part over the deaths of many Iranians in the recent terrorist attacks in Zahedan, noting that France is striving to maintain a path of dialogue and diplomacy and strengthen trust.
France did not close the Tehran embassy even during the 12-day war, Kochard emphasized.
The diplomat expressed his country’s interest in expanding interaction with Iran in all areas, referring to the diverse areas of possibilities and cooperation between the two countries.
The envoy further argued that France believes the only way to resolve differences in the nuclear issue is through dialogue.
