In his speech, Brigadier General Naini, Spokesman and Public Affairs Deputy General of the Revolutionary Guards, paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the nation’s strength and emphasized the high knowledge and eloquence of the late Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, noting that his speeches were always rich, deep and influential.
He said one indicator of defeat was when the aggressor called for a ceasefire, stressing that “we did win the 12-day war that was imposed on us.”
A spokesman for the Revolutionary Guards pointed out that Israel’s 12-day invasion of Iran was condemned by 120 countries and their governments and state institutions. He stressed that the resilience of the people, economic and social resilience, the unity of the people, government and state institutions, and the strength of the armed forces played a decisive role in Iran’s victory.
Mr. Naini highlighted the importance of psychological resilience in wartime, noting that IRIB headquarters was targeted during the conflict. He said that despite damage to news sections and infrastructure following the Israeli airstrike, accurate reporting and media coverage continued without interruption.
Naini highlighted divine aid, the effective leadership of Islamic revolutionary leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei, national unity, accurate wartime narratives, the “sacred unity” of all social groups, and the solidity of the military as key factors behind Iran’s success.
On June 13, while Washington and Tehran were in the process of nuclear negotiations, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked invasion of Iran. The Israeli attack sparked a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities in a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic locations throughout the occupied territories, as well as Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran successfully thwarted the invasion through successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
