Tehran – A short Iranian animation written and animated, written and directed by Tara Attarzadeh, will be competing at the 5th Happy Valley Animation Festival (HVAF) as it will be held in Pennsylvania, USA from March 27th to April 1st.
The three-minute animated film with no dialogue was created using 2D digital techniques and was created as a graduation film for Attarzadeh, Ilna reported.
It’s a little girl playing with the swing on the roof of the house, but suddenly the rope on the swing is torn apart. Now the girl is bored, so she begins to fantasize with a flock of pigeons flying over the roof. When she roams freely around the city and returns to reality, disasters arise. She sees the birds in the air transform into fighter planes. These planes destroy cities.
Born in Shiraz, Tara Atharzadeh is a 31-year-old animator from Iran. She holds a Master’s degree in animation from Tehran University. She has worked as a character designer, accessory maker, 2D and stop motion animator, and director assistant.
