In an interview, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev mentioned the Iranian president’s stance on the development of Iranian president, saying that his position is completely logical on the issue.
Iran’s stance on the development of the Caucasus is very reasonable and is based on the fact that the Zanjur corridor is not a threat to Iran.
“In regards to Iran’s official position on new developments, we consider it to be very rational and very positive. When I say it’s official position, I mean the position of the President and the Foreign Minister,” President Azerbaijani Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Al-Arabiya TV channel.
He added that there have been many rumors in certain media and websites about plans to occupy Azerbaijan’s Zanjur and cut the border between Iran and Armenia. “This is completely wrong. We have no intention of doing so,” Aliyev emphasized.
