Armenian Security Council secretary Almen Grigolyan traveled to Tehran to participate in the Fourth Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025, but met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of bilateral relations, recent regional and international developments, and mutual interest.
A top Iranian diplomat pointed out that the country places great importance on its relations with the Republic of Armenia in all areas, as bilateral relations between Tehran and Yerevan are growing in track.
Araguchi explained to visiting Armenian top security officers about the country’s principled and transparent position of protecting the rights of Iranian people to benefit from peaceful nuclear energy.
On his part, the secretary of the Armenian Security Council evaluated the relationship between the two countries “very good and positive”, highlighted the serious will of the Armenian government, further developing comprehensive ties with Iran, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.
Armen Grigoryan highlighted the final decision on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Iran and EUAE member states.
The 4th Tehran Dialogue Forum will be held in Tehran on May 18, 2025, with participation from foreign ministers and other high-ranking officials from other countries.
