Lieutenant General Aqil Mustafa Mahdi, Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces and Rector of the Iraqi National Defense University, met and held talks with the Rector of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College of the Islamic Republic of Iran (DAFOS) in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Aqil Mustafa Mahdi said that the relations between the two friendly and neighboring countries are historic, and that good relations have increased in recent years and it is hoped that the friendly relations between the two countries will further expand in the future.
He said the Iraqi people will never forget Iran’s unwavering support and support, adding: “I am very happy that Iraqi officers are studying and graduating from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Command and Staff College.”
Brigadier General Hossein Valivand Zamani, Chief of the Command and Staff of the Armed Forces University of the Islamic Republic of Iran (DAFOS), said that Iran has established very close cooperation and exchanges with Iraq and has a strong interest in Iraq’s development.
Lieutenant General Aqil Mustafa Mahdi, Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces and President of the Iraqi National Defense University, visited the Army DAFOS training classes, war game center, war academy, military museum, library and Persian language classes.
