In a meeting with Iran’s top security council chief Ali Larijani in Baghdad on Monday, Prime Minister Sudani highlighted his efforts to expand Iraq’s ties with Iran.
He also highlighted the need to strengthen fruitful partnerships in various sectors that are for the benefit of Iraq and Iranian people.
The Prime Minister further emphasized Iraq’s principled principled policies that escalate Israeli invasions against Iran and regional or international clashes.
Sudani also expressed his support for the dialogue between Iran and the United States.
Iran’s top security officials said his country is willing to expand relations with neighbouring Iraq in various regions, including the completion of railway connections that promote passenger travel between two neighbors and fuse them into major regional corridors.
During his visit to Baghdad, Rarijani held separate meetings with Iraqi national security adviser Qasim al-Arij and Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid.
Iranian officials are scheduled to visit Lebanon after their visit to Iraq.
While in Baghdad, Rarijani and Iraqi national security adviser Kasim al-Arij signed a joint memorandum on security issues early on Monday in front of Prime Minister Sudani.
