TEHRAN – The Iranian Red Crescent Association (IRCS) made recommendations on Monday to consider the current situation following the Zionist regime attack on Iran.
It said that peace between parents was the first step towards calming the child, the IRNA wrote.
He added that maintaining a calm attitude and controlling parents’ emotions directly affects children’s sense of security.
The IRC said parents need to use a true, simple language to provide information to their children. He added that children need to understand the whole situation rather than the details they are concerned about.
Reducing violent images and news exposure prevents more anxiety and fear. Activities such as eating, sleeping and playing promote a sense of stability and confidence.
It is necessary to create a safe atmosphere for children to express feelings such as fear, sadness, and anger. Parents need to listen to their children actively and unjudged.
Painting, storytelling, and puppet shows are the right tools to help children express their emotions. Physical contacts like hugging, kind words, and positive parental presence provide peace of mind and reinforces a sense of security.
Parents should take their child to a therapist if they observe persistent symptoms such as frequent nightmares, oddity, isolation, or aggression.
