The unveiling ceremony held on Wednesday was attended by Major General Mohammad Bakeli, chief of staff of the Iranian army, marking the delivery of advanced weapons to the IRGC ground forces.
General Ali Kouhestani, deputy commander of logistics, said a considerable number of newly developed systems have been integrated into the forces.
These include the BM450 medium-range ballistic missile in a range of 200 km, the FATH-360 missile, and the FAJR-5 guide missile known for its advanced targeting capabilities.
Other notable additives were 122 mm guided smart rockets, 122 mm rockets that can lay mines, and an upgraded Majid short-range air defense missile system. IRGC also introduced expanded versions of the Mohajer-6 and Mohajer-10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The highlight of the ceremony was the official distribution of the Gorare destroyer drone, which boasts an impressive operating range of approximately 450 kilometers.
The second phase of Payambar-e-A’azam 19 exercise aims to test new combat tactics and strategies using recently delivered equipment. The IRGC units will carry out a variety of attack and defensive operations in the coming days, including electronic warfare, large-scale armored attacks, coordinated missiles, drones, and artillery fire.
War games act as both training exercises and as a way to assess how well these systems work in real scenarios.
