TEHRAN – Hamze of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) announced the al-Shohada headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) to dismantle the cell of terrorists belonging to Dash, Kurdistan on the early days of Iran’s New Year.
In a statement issued by the headquarters’ Public Relations Bureau, the IRGC confirmed that a team of foreigners (operators trained by the Darsteurist Group) had planned a suicide attack during the Knowles Festival. Thanks to timely public reports, close coordination between local security and intelligence reporting agencies, and quick action by Law Enforcement Command (Farraja), the plot became clear and terrorists were eliminated before carrying out the mission.
Security forces seized several suicide belts, firearms and hand-rena bullets during the operation.
“The purpose of the territorial intelligence agency and its proxy terrorist groups is to destabilize the division of Iran and sows between ethnic and religious communities,” the statement read. “We warn all those involved in planning such actions once attempts to undermine the safety of Iranian people are met with a solid and decisive response.”
