The IRGC said in a statement on Sunday that it targeted the Israeli regime’s military fuel infrastructure in retaliation for the administration’s strike.
On the beginning of June 13th, Israel began a round of strikes against Iran, including its capital. In a massive escalation, the Tel Aviv regime bombed residential buildings both inside and outside Tehran, assassinating several high-ranking military officials. Following the attack, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, said the Israeli regime had sealed a “bitter and painful” fate against itself.
In response to Israeli attacks, the IRGC has launched a massive drone and missile operation targeting Israeli fighter fuel production facilities and energy supply centres, the statement said.
Called “Operation True Promise 3,” the strike took place in direct retaliation for the Israeli attack.
The statement also added that Iran’s air defense system intercepted three cruise missiles, 10 drones and dozens of small, hostile microair vehicles in affected areas.
