Ahmad Norouzi issued a statement on Monday after the US and the EU had imposed criminal charges against satellite providers broadcasting Gaza-based channels and threatened to file criminal charges. According to Press TV, it follows a halt of television networks from French satellite provider Eutelsat after Israel’s complaints.
Norouji said that Al-Aqsa TV was not only removed from all European and American satellites in the “Joint US-EU Plot”, but also threatened with sanctions from satellite companies based on the fake counterterrorism laws.
“This hopeless act came after 25 colleagues in the network sacrificed their lives to deliver the voices and images of the oppressed people in Gaza and martyred in violation of all international rules,” he said.
“It’s another example of the cruelty of the Israeli regime that is robbed of through the history of occupation.”
Norowj also noted that US and European leaders had “humiliated reactions” to the enlightening role Al Aksa TV plays.
IRIB World Services calls on “all media activists in the field of resistance to lose one of the most important media engaged in the exposure of Zionist crimes, denounce the move and strengthen opposition to Western media censorship.”
The Arabic channel belonging to the Hamas Resistance Movement was an important source of information on Israeli genocide in Gaza and violent attacks in the West Bank.
