ISFAHANG – ISFAHANG released the first tourist map of the filming location on Wednesday, offering visitors an interactive way to explore the city’s cultural and cinematic heritage.
This map was featured at a ceremony at the artist’s house in Isfahan. This project was developed by the Isfahan Municipal Tourism Bureau.
Department head Alileza Massa said the initiative was the seventh tourism map created by the municipality. He pointed out that the previous maps covered the Chaharbag district of Isfahan, the bazaar and the library.
Massa said the idea was revealed in the “Salam Cinema” program. This said it first documented active cinemas that had been destroyed in Isfahan before expanding to filming sites that included the location of the television series “Tales of Majid.”
“The printed version of the map allows tourists to have a tangible and memorable experience,” Massa said. “Digital applications are important, but physical maps and catalogs continue to be important tools for tourism.”
He explained that the map contains illustrations, film images and related infographics that can be kept framed as souvenirs.
Massa added that private investors have been invited to build tourism products around content, with local governments providing basic materials. “This map took about two years to prepare.”
Massa emphasized that the launch is part of a broader effort to expand cinema tourism in Isfahan, with future editions being planned.
Although once a crossroads between international trade and diplomacy, the ancient city of Isfahan continues to be one of Iran’s most prominent tourist destinations. Isfahan is mostly famous for its breathtaking Islamic architecture, including its stunning mosques, palaces and bazaars.
Visitors can also explore authentic samples of Persian gardens and walk along the city’s lined boulevards, immerse themselves in beauty and history at every turn. City architectural wonders such as Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of the world’s largest squares, become gems of the town’s plans.
