Tehran – The first multilateral document (AI) on artificial intelligence in Islamic countries will be approved at the second ministerial meeting of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC-15) Dialogue Platform, which will be held in Tehran from May 18th to 20th.
The purpose of this platform is to leverage the capabilities of major Islamic countries in the field of science and technology to address the major scientific, technological and higher education challenges facing Muslim nations and societies.
Officials spoke at a meeting between the ambassador and representatives of OIC-15 member states on Sunday.
The theme of the second Ministerial Conference focuses on AI and is entitled “Innovation in Science and Technology by using AI: A Excellence’s Strategies, the Bright Future of the Islamic World.”
“Our duties as representatives and ambassadors of Islamic countries responsible for the pursuit of science and technology diplomacy are to achieve convergence and coordination in technology and innovation programs at a cross-border level using strategies, policies, national science programs, and the opportunities for international organizations, forums and OIC-15 to open up.”
The organisation of the National Innovation System (NIS), the development of programs that can increase the share of science, technology and education in economic growth, as well as the increase in gross domestic product (GDP), and public participation in various science and technology are all one of the science and technology policies implemented in Islamic countries.
The first ministerial meeting of the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan in May 2023.
Rankings of Islamic countries in Iran
According to the Science Web, Iran (including 17,458 documents) is the first to rank among Islamic countries for neural network technology and multi-agent systems (including 351 documents).
The country ranks sixth in neural network technology and 12th in multi-agent systems around the world.
