In a telephone conversation with Tunisian President Cais, President Pezeshkian, who cried late Wednesday, argued that unity in Islamic countries could empower oppressed Palestinians to effectively support the oppressed Palestinians.

Pezeschkian expressed his gratitude to Iran for Tunisia’s humanitarian stance and expressed hope that Islamic countries could unite in an effort to end the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime of crimes against oppressed Palestinians.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he highlighted Iran’s commitment to strengthening ties with Muslim countries, including Tunisia.
The Tunisian president on his side congratulated his counterparts and the Iranian people on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Kais Said reaffirmed the Tunisians’ solid support for innocent Palestinians and expressed his hope that they would soon establish an independent state as their capital.
The Palestinians are just owners of their land, Said said, stressing that support for Palestine transcends effective resolutions from international organizations such as the United Nations.
He expressed optimism that through unity and friendship among all Muslim countries, the Palestinian people will ultimately secure their inevitable rights.
The Tunisian president referred to his previous meeting with leaders of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei, ensuring that the Tunisian government will not escape efforts to strengthen and expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He added that Tunisia places great importance on Iran’s relations with the Islamic Republic in all areas.
