Israel Channel 12 reported that the suspect employed at a hotel near the Dead Sea on Saturday was arrested on charges of maintaining contact with Iran’s intelligence reporting agency and performing security-related duties on their behalf.
Just four days ago, Hebrew media revealed that Singh Bett and Israeli police had detained a 26-year-old man suspected of spying for Iran, Al Jazeera reported.
Authorities alleged that the two filmed the military site in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.
Reports show that both men are resident of Horon and were detained last August on suspicion of linking to Iran’s intelligence reporting agency.
Security sources told Israeli regime media that one of the detainees had been in contact with Iranian handlers since early 2025, and have performed several intelligence gathering missions on occupied Palestinian territory, including filming sensitive military and strategic sites.
Even during the 12-day war in June, the suspect reportedly maintained communication with Iranian handlers and continued his operations. This is a revelation that underscores the deep penetration of Iran’s influence within the so-called Israeli security sector.
