In a statement on Saturday, Hezbollah said the ongoing Israeli airstrikes are part of a broader strategy to destabilize Syria, incite sectarian violence and fragment the country.
The Lebanese Resistance Group also reaffirmed its commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and urged the international community, particularly the Arab countries, to take immediate action to stop Israeli invasion.
Israel has launched 20 airstrikes across Syria overnight, accusing the country’s new rulers of “dangerous escalations.”
Israeli airstrikes targeted the capital, Damascus, and the target areas of Dara in the west, the west of Latakia and Hama, and the south, Sana News reported.
Israeli authorities also framed new attacks in an attempt to protect Syrian Druze minority. This is clashing with extremists supported by the HTS in a new wave of sectarian violence that leaves dozens of people south of Damascus.
Palestinian resistance facts also issued separate statements denounce Israeli invasion of Syria.
The general front for the liberation of Palestine criticised the justification for Israel’s actions, saying that the Zionist entities were by no means guardians of minorities.
Instead, the regime used this pretext to hide repeated violations of Syrian sovereignty and point out that it would be fuelled by sectarian division.
In a statement, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine warned of the escalation of Israeli colonial attacks on Lebanon, Syria and Palestine.
He called on the Arab League to support these countries in developing regional and international responses to expose and block Israeli expansionist ambitions.
The Mujahideen movement also showed weight, describing Israeli attacks as an extension of the American and Zionist war on the region.
He emphasized that only resistance and rebellion could thwart Israel’s expansionist plan and prevent efforts to destabilize Syria and the wider region.
