“Some time ago, the IDF struck the remaining military capabilities at Tadmar and T4’s Syrian military bases,” Israeli forces mentioned the Palmyra bases and another 50 km (30 miles) west of the city.
“The IDF will continue to act to eliminate the threat posed to the citizens of Israel,” he added.
Israel said Friday that it hit the same base after the war monitor first reported the attack.
EU foreign policy director Kaja Kallas on Monday during a visit to the occupied AL-QUDS that Israeli strikes in Syria and Lebanon threatened to make the situation worse.
“Military actions must be proportional, Israel will be attacked by Syria and Lebanon, and Lebanon will risk further escalation,” Karas said at a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.
“I feel these things are unnecessary because Syria is not currently attacking Israel and is becoming more radical than it is against Israel,” Karas told journalists.
In Syria, Israel has launched hundreds of strikes on military lands since Muslim-led rebels overcame Bashar Assad in December.
Israel says it wants to prevent weapons from falling into the hands of new authorities considering extremists.
And despite the ceasefire, Israel continues to strike in Lebanon.
