Speaking to Russia today on a recent trip to Moscow, Iranian diplomat Araguchi has expressed concern over the expansionist policies of Syria and Lebanon’s Israeli regimes, pointing out that the Zionist regime occupying Syrian territory and is larger in size than the Gaza Strip.
“For Iran and Russia, maintaining the peace, tranquility and territorial integrity in Syria is of paramount importance. This is essential to regional stability,” Aragut said.
“Iran is currently not affiliated with the current Syrian government and there is no rush to establish such a relationship,” he emphasized.
“We will not oppose or take action against the new Syrian government. If Iran is asked for help, we are ready to establish peace and help the path to form a legitimate and inclusive government in Syria,” the Iranian minister added.
He continued to point out that the Israeli regime knows how powerful Iran is and builds Iran’s defensive capabilities into deterrent against any attack. Therefore, we do not dare to launch an attack.
“Israel will not only dare to attack, but he will say it is unlikely that America will put such a dangerous adventure at risk.”
