Sheikh Naim Kasem, executive director of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement, gave a speech on Friday night to commemorate the memory of Commander Ali Karaki.
“Commander Ali Karaki took in the martyrs on September 27, 2024 along with the masters of Umma martyrs and Said Hasan Nasrara. Martyrs Karaki was one of the founders of the Hezbollah military class,” Qassem said.
Sheikh Qassem has addressed those questioning the efficiency of Lebanon’s resistance, saying that resistance has been doing a lot since 1982.
“It is true that resistance could not prevent the Israeli war with Lebanon, but it prevented the enemy from moving forward beyond the border areas and continuing the war. Resistance maintained Lebanon’s security and stability from 17 years of Israel’s attack,” he emphasized.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qassem said the US and Israel have decided to propose a new agreement as the current ceasefire agreement does not suit their interests. “The new proposal is aimed at disarming Hezbollah across Lebanon,” he revealed.
“Hezbollah observes existential threats to all Lebanese people. We should face this threat through resistance and national unity,” he emphasized.
“Resistance may not prevent losses, but surrender allows the enemy to invade the entire nation,” Kasem said.
“The Israeli regime will never be able to take away our weapons and are ready to defend ourselves in the event of an Israeli invasion,” he further quoted, adding, “As long as we are alive, Israel will never be able to achieve that goal.”
