According to Al Jazeera, Netanyahu’s office said Israel is ready to target the rapid release of prisoners and enact the first phase of the Trump plan.
The statement also confirmed that continued cooperation between the Israeli administration and the Trump team would end the Gaza War based on principles decided by Tel Aviv.
Previously, Trump announced his English response from Hamas to his proposal on Gaza. In it, the resistance says they are ready to release all Israeli prisoners held in the enclave and hand over the bodies of the dead. The movement “confirms that we are ready to enter immediately through the mediator and enter negotiations to discuss the details.”
The movement also confirmed it was ready to “put over the Gaza Strip regime to Palestinian independents (technocrats) based on the consensus of the Palestinian people and on Arab and Islamic support.” At the same time, Hamas said, “In regards to other issues included in President Trump’s proposal regarding the future of the Gaza Strip and the voluntary rights of the Palestinian people, this is tied to the collective national status.
On September 29, the White House announced the US President’s “comprehensive plan” to resolve the 20-point Gaza conflict. The proposal includes temporary external management of enclaves and the deployment of international stabilization forces. Israel has expressed support for the program.
