The Israeli regime has destroyed more than 1,500 homes in the Zeitoun district since launching a ground attack to seize Gaza earlier this month, according to Enclave’s civil defense.
According to Al Jazeera, rescue team spokesman Mahmoud Basal told Anadolu News Agency that the buildings were not standing in the southern part of the neighbouring area.
The Israeli Army employs construction equipment along with robots containing bombs, which used quadcopter drones to explode seven sites every day while they dropped explosives on the roof of their homes.
The weapons have strengthened the scale of destruction in the area, he added.
The systematic demolition forced 80% of Zeitoun residents to leave and move towards the western or northern regions of Gaza city, Basino said.
At least seven people were killed overnight and this morning after crossing Gaza in an Israeli attack that included a woman and a child in a Breage refugee camp in central Gaza, Al Jazeera reported.
All members of the UN Security Council, except for the US, jointly support the IPC’s declaration that hunger in Gaza on Wednesday was a “artificial crisis” despite Israel and the US attacking the findings.
The Zionist regime has killed at least 62,895 people and injured 158,927 in the war with Gaza since October 2023.
