In a statement to The Associated Press, Army officials said there was no room for physical or individuals, including active-duty reserves.
The Army said it determined that the active reserves who signed the letter were unable to continue serving. They did not specify how many people, or how many people the shooting began.
Israeli Air Force reserves and retirees signed a letter published in Israeli media on Thursday, demanding the immediate return of hostages, even if they end the battle.
This letter comes as Israel is trying to intensify its attack in Gaza and put pressure on Hamas to agree to the free hostages.
Israel imposed a blockade of food, fuel and humanitarian aid, leaving civilians facing acute shortages as supply fell. It promised to occupy most of Palestinian territory and establish a new security corridor through it.
