TEHRAN – Iranian security guard Ali Larijani has warned that the Zionist regime poses a threat to all countries in the region, highlighting the recent developments, including the Qatar attack, have made it more and more clear about Israel’s aggressive actions.
Larijani made a statement on her arrival in Beirut on Saturday. There, he attends ceremony to commemorate the fallen leaders of Hezbollah, including Hassan Nasrara and Hashem Safi al-Din.
Speaking to the reporters, Larijani said the purpose of his visit was to not only honor Lebanese martyrs, but also to reaffirm the historical role in the support of Tehran and his advocacy of Lebanon’s advocacy of the state’s resistance movement. “Lebanon may be a small country, but it has a strong country. Resistance comes from the people of Lebanese and today stands as a fortress against Israel, the source of pride for the whole Islamic world,” he said.
Iranian officials noted that his previous visit to Beirut and the spacing of the area have seen significant developments in the area. “The actions of the Zionist regime have become much clearer for all countries. What martists warned decades ago is now clear to everyone,” Larijani said. He emphasized that regional countries are calling such collaboration the “right approach,” and are increasingly seeking mechanisms for cooperation in affirming full support from Iran and responding to shared threats.
Larijani also praised the historic ties between Iran and Lebanon, highlighting the growing friendship between the two countries in recent years. “We have always supported the existence of a strong, independent government,” he said. “I hope that Lebanon’s development will always serve the interests of its people and create conditions that will form a strong, independent government.”
During his visit, Larijani also met Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabi Beli and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. He also took part in a commemorative event honoring Hezbollah leaders and fighter jets, highlighting the continued importance of resistance movements in Lebanon’s security and political landscape.
At a press conference, Laryani highlighted Hezbollah’s central role in countering Israeli attacks, celebrating the visionary Nasrara, who recognized Israeli threats decades ago and built up the move of young fighters who could protect Lebanon. “What Hassan Nasrara understood decades ago is now visible across the region. He foresaw the dangers posed by Israel and led a plan to act to create a powerful and resilient generation,” Larijani said.
Addressing speculation that Iran would issue weapons or direct orders to Hezbollah, Larijani dismissed such claims. “Hezbollah does not need weapons from elsewhere. It is already strong enough. Sheikh Naim Qassem is a respected leader who determines what is in Lebanon’s greatest interest. We support his approach, but we do not give orders to anyone,” he said.
Regarding the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran, Larijani warned: “We are prepared for every scenario. But I don’t think the Israelis will act that stupid. He also welcomed the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Hezbollah, describing it as a “positive and necessary step” threatened by the shared region.
Larijani emphasized the importance of Lebanon’s national unity and warned against external attempts to sow internal discrepancies. “The Lebanese are mature and independent people. The Americans do not need to act as guardians of Lebanon. Such interference is unacceptable. The proud Lebanese will not give up on his interests under foreign pressure.”
He also pointed to efforts to rebuild the homes that were destroyed in Israeli attacks, and repeated Iran’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty. “Resistance is a major asset in the Islamic world, and Lebanon stands strong despite its small size. The resolve of its people, especially the younger generation, guarantees Hezbollah’s place at the heart of Muslim solidarity with Israel,” Larijani said.
