The “enemy of Israel” drone strike in the town of Teibe near the border “has led to the death of one citizen,” the health ministry said in a statement, Arab news reported.
Israeli security sources have said Israeli forces “stricken up members of Hezbollah” in the Teibe region.
The official National News Agency (NNA) said the strike was hit “in front of a motorcycle repair shop” in the town of Southern Lebanon’s Majayon district.
Israel has been launching strikes in Lebanon since the ceasefire on November 27th.
Lebanon said the Israeli strike on Sunday killed two people in Zibkin, south Lebanon, as Israeli forces said they targeted Hezbollah operatives in the region.
Israeli strikes targeted other South Lebanon locations and even Hezbollah’s South Beirut fortress last week.
The NNA also reported an Israeli attack on a pre-built home in the Nakra region of South Lebanon on Sunday. Such homes are usually set up to return residents whose homes have been destroyed in conflict.
The armistice agreement was based on a resolution by the UN Security Council that Lebanese forces and UN peacekeeping forces should be the only forces in South Lebanon and are calling for disarmament of all non-state groups.
