In a telephone conversation with President Masuud Pezeshkian on Saturday, the Saudi prince said he was confident that Iran would act cautiously and block Tel Aviv’s goals.
“Today, the entire Islamic world is supporting you all at once,” Mohammed bin Salman told the president.
Pezeschkian has been working since taking office to strengthen peace, security and stability in the region, but said Israel tried to disrupt his agenda whenever he approached achieving that goal.
The president said he hopes Iran and Saudi Arabia will work together to fill the region with peace of mind.
The Israeli regime launched an overnight attack on Iranian territory on Friday. Air defense systems and nuclear energy sites were targeted in the first wave of strikes. The attack also targeted top Iranian military officials. Secretary of State Marco Rubio quickly announced that the US was not involved.
Shortly afterwards, Iran began a punitive strike deep within occupied Palestine, attacking Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Iranian officials say the mission will continue as long as necessary.
