As Lebanon’s Al Mayaden quoted, Makol Lishon’s report suggests Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure will be “complex and difficult.” The report emphasizes that it is virtually impossible to completely stop uranium enrichment in Iran through such an attack.
The newspaper emphasizes that Iran has already proven, for itself and the world, that Israel can directly attack targets within occupied territory. It cited Iran’s recent military operations that have damaged strategic regions within occupied Palestine as evidence of Tehran’s effective deterrent ability.
The report concludes that Iran maintains its ability to seriously harm Israel in the event of a future conflict, highlighting the high costs of military escalation.
Iran’s defense minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, has called the recent Israeli threat to Iran “pure nonsense,” claiming the regime’s incapacity to pose a real threat to Iran.
In an interview with Al Mayadeh, Nasirzadeh said Iran has the power to prevent Israel from threatening it. “The malicious actions of the Zionist regime will bring about their own destruction.”
He added that no one who can actually threaten Iran would speak in that way. “The statement from Israeli officials is unfounded.”
Commenting on the same issue, Major General Hossein Salami, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), declared that Iran is ready to face a possible scenario. General Salami emphasized his full preparation to stand up to Iran’s threat, reaffirmed the firm resolve of the Islamic Republic, and emphasized the protection of the sovereignty of its people and the rights of the Iranian people.
