The Israeli army has carried out two new military operations in the Quneitra region of southern Syria and set up new military checkpoints in the area.
According to Al-Mayadeen news agency, two patrol units belonging to the Israeli occupation forces entered the suburbs of Quneitra in southern Syria on Monday and conducted an operation that violated Syria’s sovereignty.
According to local sources, one of the Israeli army patrols entered the road connecting Jubata and Ain al-Bayda in the northern countryside of Quneitra and set up a military checkpoint there. A similar operation by Israeli forces was witnessed in the village of Saida al-Khanout on the southern outskirts of Quneitra.
A few days ago, a group of Syrian youths faced off against Israeli forces attempting to invade the town of Beit Zin on the western outskirts of Damascus in southern Syria, leading to clashes in which 20 Syrian civilians, including women and children, were martyred and at least 13 Israeli soldiers were injured.
