In the name of God, the most compassionate and most merciful
Your Honor,
Based on instructions from my government, including a letter dated June 28, 2025 (S/2025/43L), I would like to hereby convey an updated report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, with 12 days of casualties and destruction caused by the massive offensive attacks of Iran’s large, non-invasive military attacks. Honesty.
Earlier on June 13, 2025, while Iranian families were on break, the Israeli regime launched coordinated air, missiles and drone attacks targeting residential areas, civil infrastructure and peaceful nuclear facilities, supported by extensive military, intelligence reports and political support from the United States and certain Western countries. These indiscriminate and illegal attacks have marched 1,100 innocent civilians, including 132 women and 45 children, and injured more than 5,700 others.
These heinous crimes constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law, including the UN Charter, international law, including the Geneva Convention, and international human rights instruments such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and ICCPR. Subsequent US attacks on June 22, 2025 further exacerbated these violations.
Under the IAEA Safeguard, intentional targeting of residential areas, hospitals, medical centers, ambulances, civilians, energy infrastructure, scientists and peaceful nuclear facilities is a blatant violation of international law and is constituted as war crimes, offensive crimes and crimes against humanity.
The attached report suggests a glimpse into the suffering caused to Iranian civilians, especially women and children, supporting international law and underscoring the urgency of immunity against such atrocities.
If you distribute your current letter and its attachments as a security board document, I should be grateful.
We ask for your best considerations, please accept His Excellency.
