TEHRAN – Israeli microdrones crashed into the land section of the Phase 14 refinery in the South Purs gas field early today, causing a powerful explosion.
The impact caused fires in parts of the facility, according to the Tasnim News Agency. The extent of the damage remains unknown, but the defense and emergency response teams reportedly respond quickly and manage the situation effectively. Authorities have assured the public that there is no cause of alarms at this stage.
Another incident also affected the fires by the fire, which is responsible for handling some of the gas from Southern Parr and NAR and Kangan fields.
The cause of the Fajr Jam incident is still under investigation. The Ministry of Oil has not issued an official statement yet, but a preliminary assessment is ongoing.
Both incidents have emerged amid rising tensions in the region, raising concerns about the safety of key energy infrastructure in southern Iran.
