Referring to the announcement of French President Emmanuel Macron, Saar said the French have taken to mind that they will soon recognize the Palestinian state.
“They will lose their influence in the region and harm their position. They will not create a Palestinian state through this hopeful or imaginary decision,” he argued.
“It will reduce the chances of achieving peace and stability in the future,” he further emphasized.
He warned that if France chose to act, Israel could respond unilaterally. “This kind of decision is a big mistake, and it also forces Israel to go into the corner and make a decision on unilateral measures in its own right. If someone is trying to prevent the outcome of possible negotiations in the future, we can do that too.”
