Israeli regime forces have carried out active raids in several areas of the occupied West Bank, coinciding with continued attacks by armed settlers against Palestinian civilians and property.
According to Palestinian sources, the attack sparked clashes between occupation forces and Palestinian youth in several towns, with several people injured by live ammunition and rubber bullets, and some suffocated by tear gas, Al Jazeera reported.
The website Arab 48 reported that regime soldiers ransacked homes, beat residents and interrogated them on the scene. Several Palestinians were detained and taken to an undisclosed location.
Troops raided the homes of dozens of prisoners expected to be released in the upcoming exchange, threatening families from raising flags, taking photos, or hosting welcome rallies.
Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians in Silwad, a town north of Ramallah, and a 14-year-old boy, Mahmoud Shadi, was arrested in Beit Hurik, near Nablus.
In the village of Salem, east of Beit Hurik, Palestinian detainee Anas Ishtiye’s brother was also detained. Several young Palestinians were injured in the clashes in Yatta, south of Hebron.
