Israeli forces said they had taken part of the Netzarim Corridor, which divides Gaza from east to west, and the business was intended to expand the buffer zone, according to the Washington-based Al-Monitor website.
The army reported that troops from the 252nd division advanced to Netzarim Coridor and seized about half of the area up to north-south Saraarudin Road. With this advance, Gazan’s movement has significantly restricted movements from the south to the Strip to return north. However, the report claims that walking is possible in the west of the corridor.
The Nessarim Corridor, previously used as a military zone by Israel, divides the corridors of northern, southern and southern Gaza. As part of a previous ceasefire, Israel had withdrawn its troops from the area. However, a new attack saw Israeli forces reenter the corridor.
Israeli military minister Israel Katz warned that evacuations from Gaza’s fighting zones would soon resume.
The military also announced the deployment of the Golani brigade to the border in southern Gaza on the Israeli side, and the deployment of forces for the potential operations south of the Strip.
Israeli War Minister Israel Katz said in a speech Wednesday that the Islamic forces will begin forced evacuation of Palestinians in certain areas.
The minister also threatened the complete destruction of Hamas in Gaza.
