According to Israeli media, the 13 people injured include three who were seriously injured in clashes with locals. According to Al-Mayadeen News Agency, there are also reports that three Israeli soldiers were seriously injured in a nighttime attack as Israeli occupation forces attempted to arrest and abduct several people from Beit Zin, which claims to be affiliated with an Islamic group.
Elite troops from the 55th Airborne Brigade of the 98th Elite Division raided the town of Beit Jin, located just a few hundred meters from the United Nations Disengaged Observers Force (UNDOF) zone. While trying to detain some people, gunfire came from locals and they were forced to retreat.
An Israeli Humvee vehicle used in the invasion was left behind. The Israeli air force then raided the area and bombed abandoned vehicles, according to Israeli reports. Two officers from the 55th Brigade were among the three seriously injured soldiers.
Israeli occupation forces said they captured three people during the raid, but that ensuing clashes and Israeli attacks left at least 10 people dead in the Syrian village. According to the Syrian News Channel, several other people remain trapped under debris left behind by the shelling.
