The Jenin Camp media committee said Thursday that Israeli forces deployed more tanks, military vehicles and bulldozers to accelerate the demolition of the house, the media reported.
The report also noted that the occupying regime’s troops had transformed many of their homes into military barracks.
The Israeli regime also issued an order on Wednesday to demolish around 66 homes in the vicinity of Al Hawasin, Al Love, Al Love, Azam Mosque, Jura al Dahab and Al Samran under the pretext of expanding new ones to camps and building new ones in the camps to promote entry of Israeli military vehicles.
Later that day, Israeli forces set fire to several homes near Saadidiwan in Jenin Camp. They also continued to block roads leading to Jenin government hospitals, which have a dirt barrier.
According to the committee, Israeli forces have destroyed 100% of the streets of Jenin Camp and bulldozed around 80% of Jenin City.
The committee added that the Israeli invasion forced residents of 3,200 homes in Jenin Camp to leave their homes, resulting in the number of nearly 21,000 displaced people. The attacks have also hit the economy in Jenin City, with poverty rates rising among residents.
The committee said 36 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the attacks at Jenin and its camp, but more than 227 have been detained.
Since the announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza in January, Israel has stepped up attacks on various occupied West Bank as part of an attempt to impose Jewishization and control over its territory.
Israel launched its genocide campaign in Gaza on October 7, 2023. This has killed nearly 50,000 Palestinians so far.
In January, the Israeli regime was forced to agree to a ceasefire agreement with Hamas given the regime’s failure to achieve its objectives, such as “exclusion” of Palestinian resistance and the release of prisoners of war.
However, recent Israeli attacks on Gaza have shattered a ceasefire that lasted almost two months and a captive exchange agreement for prisoners.
