On Wednesday, journalist Noor Abdu was killed while covering Israeli strikes at a school protecting displaced people.
Israeli forces reportedly carried out two separate airstrikes at Al-Calama School in Taffa district of Gaza city, reporting a second strike as people recovered the bodies of martyrs and wounded.
While covering the first attack on the school, Abdu was killed.
“The government’s media offices are condemning the targets, murders and assassinations of Palestinian journalists due to Israeli occupation in the most powerful terms,” he said in a statement Wednesday.
“We are calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists and all journalistic organizations in all countries around the world to condemn these systemic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media experts in the Gaza Strip,” he added.
