Video footage issued by Arab sources shows Israeli tanks are in southern Syria. This video shows four tanks belonging to the Israeli army entering the village of Western Samadania in Kneitra.
The military movement coincided with flying through Israeli reconnaissance drone areas, raising concerns about the potential escalation of tensions along the border.
A few days ago, Israeli forces also entered the town of Luweicina in Kneitra. The night before, Syrian media reported that a convoy of Israeli military vehicles had entered Sada al-Hunut, a border village in southern Knetra.
The Syrian Human Rights Observatory has previously reported that Israel has been carrying out 52 attacks on Syria since the beginning of 2025.
The observatory also noted that until the end of 2024, since the collapse of Bashar al-Assad government, Israeli fighters launched 500 attacks on Syrian territory, effectively destroying the entire country’s military infrastructure.
