Speaking on the sidelines of the 151st session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva on Sunday, Shamseddin Hosseini, also a member of the Standing Committee on United Nations Affairs of the Asia-Pacific Group of Conferences, said that Iran will spare no effort to strengthen understanding and cooperation among regional countries with the aim of ensuring endogenous security and stability.
Pointing to the recent Israeli aggression against Qatar, he stressed that the Israeli regime’s terrorist attack on Qatar is a clear violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rules of international law, and a blatant invasion of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring Qatar.
Hosseini stressed that Iran has always emphasized that it will spare no effort to strengthen understanding and cooperation among regional countries, aiming to ensure endogenous security and stability.
The 151st session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) opened in Geneva on Sunday with the theme “Defending humanitarian norms and supporting humanitarian operations in times of crisis”.
