During a press conference in New York, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Al-Ansari said “Israel’s attack on Doha constitutes an attack on sovereignty, mediation efforts and pursuit of peace.”
Al Ansari emphasized that the recent Arab-Islamic Summit threatens such actions by Israel to undermine local agreement and stability.
“We are working closely with the US to ensure that these attacks on Doha are not repeated,” he said.
Expressing his dissatisfaction with the international community’s explanation that they had not taken any meaningful actions in the face of growing conflict, Al-Anari reiterated his unwavering belief in Qatar’s mediation and diplomacy.
“Qatar is committed to peace and dialogue. The Doha target emphasizes the important role mediators play in resolving conflicts. Mediation remains at the heart of our foreign policy and peacebuilding efforts,” he added.
