“It is not conceivable that for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Zionist regime would have committed such a war in the region without cooperation from the United States or a conscious green light,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghihai stressed in a statement on Saturday.
Regarding the next negotiations that were planned ahead of time on Sunday in Muscat, Oman, he said, “It is not clear what decision will be made on this point on Sunday.”
“The other side (US) acted in a way that made the dialogue pointless. You cannot insist on negotiations. At the same time, you cannot divide your work by allowing the Zionist regime (Israel) to target Iran’s territory,” the spokesman added.
He said the Israeli regime had “successfully influenced” the diplomatic process, and that the Israeli attack would not have happened without Washington’s permission.
Iran previously accused the United States of being involved in Israel’s attacks.
The sixth round of Iran’s nuclear talks with us was scheduled to take place in Muscat on Sunday, but it was unclear whether it would progress after the Israeli strike.
