TEHRAN – A ceremony was held on Wednesday at the National Library Auditorium in Tehran to recognize the winners of the 17th Jalal Al-e-Ahmad Literary Award in various categories.
In the materials category, Shiva Kademi won Iran’s prestigious literary award worth 5 billion rials ($6,250) for her book titled “The Factory’s Soil.”
Samad Taheri’s “The Green Fairy” won the short story collection competition.
In the novel category, Majid Kaysari’s “Stone of Destiny” won.
In this issue, Gol Ali Babai is honored for his lifelong record in the field of Sacred Defense (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War).
The Jalal Al-e-Ahmad Literary Award is a highly regarded literary honor in Iran. Named after the famous Iranian writer and intellectual Jalal al-e-Ahmad, these awards celebrate literary excellence across a variety of genres, including novels, short stories, and critical essays.
