TEHRAN – Iran’s attorney Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i has sought the immediate identification, prosecution and punishment of all individuals involved in the recent terrorist attacks against Zahedan Court.
During the Judiciary Supreme Council meeting on Monday, Ejay expressed sadness to the victims’ families and directed the relevant judicial institutions. Includes the office of the prosecutor and the Sistan and the Balchestan Department of Justice – act with full strength and decision to pursue a person in charge.
“In line with the directive issued, the judicial authorities must use up all their means to bring the perpetrators and supporters of this heinous act to justice,” he said. “There is no doubt that the roots of such terrorist crime lie in the global arrogance led by criminal nations, serving as their main supporters of the horrifying atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza of many crimes around the world.”
Eje’i also directed judicial representatives for judicial and support so that the necessary support is provided to the families of those killed and injured in the attack.
The terrorist attack on Zahedan Court on Saturday claimed at least six lives and injured 22 others. Iranian security forces responded quickly, killing three attackers during an armed clash at the scene.
Following the attack, the Iranian judiciary issued a statement, condemning the heinous conduct and pledging to bring the perpetrators of the crime to trial.
Sistan and Baluchestan, the southeastern provinces adjacent to Pakistan, have long been hotspots for terrorist activities, with numerous attacks targeting civilians and security personnel. Iranian officials say many of these businesses are organized by groups related to foreign intelligence reporting agencies.
Last October, 10 members of Iranian law enforcement were killed in a fatal attack in Goharku district in Tahtan County. The attack was allegedly argued by the so-called Jaish Al-Adl Terrorist Group, one of the most active militants operating in the region.
In April, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ground forces hit Jaish al-Adore terrorist groups during counterterrorist military operations in Sistan and Balchestan, killing the group’s mastermind.
