Tehran – The village of Kaparyodaki in Borgeld, Lorestan, has hosted storks for almost half a century.
Nature and humanity have long coexistence in this village, Khabar Online reported.
The village of Kapar Jukadi has become a safe habitat for storks.
Surrounded by over 400, the village is 10km away from Boljad on the way to Boljad Kroramabad Road.
The village is only 1,400 metres from the wetlands of Bisshe Dhaan.
The people of Kapar judaki protect migratory birds.
With over 18 major locations, including wetlands, reservoirs, ponds and rivers, Lorestan acts as one of the most important, rich and safest migratory habitats in the country.
Thanks to its favourable climatic conditions, Lorestan has 250 species of birds, with 30% of the country’s biodiversity.
According to census researched and conducted over the past few years, to ensure the safety of these birds, about 70-80 species of migratory birds have been observed in the state wetlands so far, but water resources are consistently monitored.
