Tehran – Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Iran, Ontaruponabayev, praises Iran’s civilized heritage and its diverse cultural, historical and natural charm, saying his country is ready to deepen its cultural and tourism cooperation with the Islamic Republic.
Onarbayev on Friday declared the government’s preparations to promote full cooperation in the fields of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts.
He told Milas Aliya (CHTN) that Iran is “an incomparable treasure of human civilization” given the deep cultural and historical commonalities between the two countries.
The ambassador said Iran boasts a unique cultural, historical and natural charm and is considered one of the most important civilised destinations in the region and the world at large.
He added that Kazakhstan is interested in promoting relations with Iran’s Islamic Republic in all cultural heritage, tourism and crafts.
Pointing out the seriousness of the Kazakh government to deepen cultural cooperation with Iran, he said: “We are ready to identify and present the joint cultural and historical monuments of both countries in the first phase. I recommend that Zenda be the production of joint cultural documentaries, hosting specialized exhibitions, and establishing a joint work group.”
Onalbayev emphasized that culture is the perfect bridge to connect countries more closely, adding that Kazakhstan believes that strengthening cultural diplomacy with Iran will not only help both countries’ sustainable development, but also a model for regional cooperation.
He appreciated the efforts of the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts to introduce the country’s cultural and civilised potential.
The ambassador urged the promotion of direct relations between the cultural, artistic and tourism labs of both countries.
