Tehran – The museum’s activities at the Niavalan Cultural History Complex in Tehran have been reopened and reopened parts of the complex after the temporary closure of the museum due to security concerns arising from the recent development of the region.
Koshk-e Ahmad Shahi (Ahmad Shahi Pavilion) and Iran’s Auto Museum, also known as the Historic Auto Museum of Iran, will host visitors as of Saturday (August 9th).
According to the Ministry of Public Affairs, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, following the adoption of temporary security measures in the wake of recent local development, Niavalan’s cultural and historic complex, which had been closed for a limited period of time, has gradually begun to reopen with a focus on preserving cultural heritage and ensuring the safety of visitors.
Sharloud Amir Entekvi, manager of the Niavalan cultural and historical organization, said the first step was that the garden area of the Niavalan Museum was open to the public on August 3rd.
He emphasized full compliance with security and safety regulations in the process of reopening the museum, adding that other sections of the complex will gradually be open to the public after ensuring expert evaluations and safe conditions.
Based on the nearbalun complex’s management declaration, it is possible to visit the active section of this complex from 9am to 6pm daily, with visitors being the last entry time of 4:45pm.
The Nearbaran complex covers approximately 11 hectares of area in northern Tehran. It includes several royal buildings and museums built in the 19th and 20th centuries, and originally served as summer retreats for Kajal and subsequent Pallavi monarchs.
Highlights of the site include the Ahmadshahi Pavilion and the main Niabaran Palace, which became the residence of Mohammadrezashah and his family. Due to the blending of pre-Islamic and post-Islamic architectural styles, the palace is famous for its intricate plasterwork, mirrorwork and tilework. Its gorgeous interiors are decorated with precious paintings, sculptures and furniture by Iranian and international artists.
